This is the hard stuff no one wants to experience. Love your Mom and be there while she still is. All of the other stuff will still be waiting. Praying for you.
So much love and strength to you, Bev...such a difficult chapter to square with. I look forward to when you are in a position to write again. To ensure you get there, try to find slices of coconut pie from at least the Clinton administration or later.
It's good you are taking a break and eating whatever you want. Definitely start the hospice process; they will give you support in an institution or at home. Sorry you are in a tough place.
So sorry Bev. Sending all the love, hugs and rainbows your way. I haven’t read Hemingway either, but I’ve read your words and will come back for more. We’re here if you need to chat! Thinking of you at this time.
So very sorry that you're going through all this. It's incredibly hard having a loved one in the hospital, especially with little support from your boss, etc. Try to eat something nourishing and take breaks when you can. And yes, as others have said, Hemingway is overrated and only good for a snooze.
So sorry, Bev. Don’t forget to take care of yourself as well.
Oh Bev it so sucks losing a parent even when you know it's coming--sending you all lots of love.

It's a hard time, even worse when you have no siblings to help. To be there for her, you must try to be attentive to your own needs as well.
Being with your mom is the most important thing. May her transition be as peaceful as possible. Take care of yourself. One moment at a time.
My heart goes out to you, Bev. (Hemingway is overrated; there’s still time to be a funny McCarthy.)
So sorry Bev, I'll be facing the same circumstances soon myself. If you need a nap, read the Hemingway.
Such a difficult situation. Just know I'm thinking of you. I've been there and no good words.
Hang in there, Bev. And you should take as long as you need regardless of what happens. Wishing you and your mom the best.
Also, Hemingway's overrated.
Sorry to hear this, Bev. Wishing you all the best!

Oh Bev, I'm so sorry.
The market is open for a funny Cormac McCarthy but you need to start using a lot more semicolons.
